Effective SEO and marketing strategies for your website

For a website to be successful, it should have a good name and awareness amongst the online community. If you have not yet become established enough to have done this, then you should do your best to be featured highly on the list of search results for those keywords that most relate to the content of your site. Whilst you can include most of the keywords in the text of your actual site, sometimes you will need to include additional keywords to help potential visitors to your site to actually find you in search results. You can also promote your website on various other sites and web directories in order to increase your popularity and rank you higher in the internet search results.

A good strategy for your site is to make sure that you are using relevant, up to date and useful information. This will ensure that when users do find your site, they will stay on it and browse around. If they like it enough, then they will either revisit or even share your web address amongst their friends or on a directory. This will get you higher in the search results.

It is not enough just to have some useful information in your website. The competition will have fancy intricately designed web pages that are easy to navigate and interesting to look at. If you stick to plain and basic colors, then it is likely that people will find your site to be dull and uninteresting. Adding a little color, flash content and video will help improve the overall image of your website. You will be able to grab the viewer’s attention and encourage them to return again.

Another thing that you can do is promote your site on Twitter. Try to gain a good following and encourage your followers to re-tweet your web address as this will gain a lot of exposure for your website.

I am using Firefox for browsing. After I doing yahoo search, in my search results I clicked on a link but it gone somewhere else other than where it’s supposed to be.

Yet, if i physically copy the link to the address box, it goes to somewhere instead of where it’s supposed to be. I tried using IE, but same thing happen.

    Please help, thanks in advance.

I want to start a blog, but I don’t want people to find it through internet searches. I know many blog hosting sites allow you to remove your blog from their site listings, but how do I remove or prevent it from appearing in internet searches? Any blog hosts you’d recommend?

Also, I don’t plan on using my real name or contact info…so people will not be able to find me by searching for those details.

There is no point giving me a link that is in Russian or Chinese or other, I only know English!

Google used to have a “translate” option next to a link but it no longer shows.

I happened to come across the list of cookies stored in my computer and was surprised to see what was listed there. There were 30 or 40 different items that were all from the same type of web site and they were of a disturbing nature. Not being very knowledgeable when it comes to computers I don’t want to confront the other members in my household until I am sure that the only way they could have been on that list was if someone physically looked at them. If anyone can help shed the light on this matter I would be grateful. Thank you.

I have captured the two pictures, one from the Hostgator cpanel and from the internet site. Also I have copied the html data for the Hostgator file. If you think you can help I will email the doc file to you.

I think Hostgator is not overwriting when save is selected to replace the old with the new file.

I would like to find sites that list actual prices gas sold for from 1970 forward. I would like to see prices that are not adjusted for inflation and sites that are adjusted for inflation. I know what I paid in 1973. I just need to verify some suspicions that gas prices are tied to political administrations. My memories tell me that all of our “crisises” have occurred during Republican Administrations.

Basically I can download torrent files and run then to get files. However, every torrent site I try to go to is now blocked. I found a site that wasn’t a torrent site, therefore unblocked, and I was able to download a file. Not to be overly confusing, basically a clean site that has the actual torrent files without being “crazytorrents.com” or something like that.

I have a webiste, and the admin section provides a counter to track how many hits the website gets. The counter records hits onto the website, but I’m wondering if the hits are from actual people (since the site is not being advertised) or if these hits could be from something automated or something else. I am receiving between 80-200 hits a day.

Are they like used phones or something?
It also says free overnight shipping, so I don’t think shipping has to do with it.
It’s like 50 dollars cheaper than when you get it at the store. (online discount)
I don’t understand why it’s THAT much cheaper.

Should I get it online at the Verizon site or get it at the actual store?
(Please don’t tell me about activation, tax, and internet fees, I already figured that up)
